The Graphic Design & Production Coordinator translates marketing strategies into a wide range of creative materials that meet & exceed Arizona Science Center’s brand personality and standards. The Graphic Design & Production Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Design and produce graphics, print, digital advertising, marketing collateral, and other marketing materials utilizing clean layouts. Typography projects are designed within graphic guidelines for brand consistency.
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines with excellent time management skills.
  • Liaison between the graphics department and all internal departments and external vendors regarding the status of the job, assets, deadlines, and technical specs.
  • Maintain and manage creative assets and signage throughout the Science Center.
  • Works with Marketing Coordinator to create engaging social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) materials (i.e., original videos, graphics, photographs).
  • Performs various duties as needed to fulfill the position's function successfully.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in graphic design from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent experience.

  • Clear intra-discipline understanding of graphic design for print and digital, across web, video, and traditional print
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Google experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to manage tight production deadlines with multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes and preflight/troubleshoot art files
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be a self-starter and a substantial project manager comfortable with completing deadlines and multitasking.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidate preferred but not required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Does not have any day-to-day supervisory responsibilities. However, the Graphic Design & Production Coordinator may lead ad hoc task forces or project teams in conjunction with a special project or event and work with a rotation of interns.
